How To Reset Or Remove Bios Password

Many people use BIOS password to lock up their  computers, making them completely unusable without entering the correct password. This password has to be entered before loading the operating systems, normally on a DOS screen shortly after the computer started. BIOS password is usually stored together with other BIOS settings such as the time, date and size of the hard disk. These pieces of data are usually stored in a flash chip on the motherboard.

To reset or remove BIOS password, look for a jumper which usually can be found near the processor or BIOS battery on the motherboard. After locating the jumper (usually with a label - PSWD beside it), move the jumper from connected pins 1+2 to pins 2+3 for a few seconds or so, then move back to pins 1+2. This will reset the entire BIOS settings. The next time you boot your computer, the BIOS will show you the default factory settings and from there you can optionally set a new password.

Here are the Commands :
Type debug
Type o 70 2e
Type o 71 ff
Type q
By Putting this commands your Machine's Bios has been reset. Now restart your computer and everything should run just fine.

Another alternative way to completely reset your bios setting is to reinsert the CMOS battery which can be found on the motherboard. The CMOS battery provides power supply to the motherboard in order to hold the BIOS settings data.

4 things to do Immediately when your Fb ACCOUNT gets HACKED...:)

For most people, having their Facebook account hacked is a nightmare. Imagine if someone had access to all your private messages, could contact your friends, abuse your Facebook page, and delete your personal information. To avoid this, you should regularly update your password and keep other security settings tight.
Once it’s too late, however, you must act fast. The most important thing is – don’t panic! You can regain access to your account.

How Do You Know Your Facebook Account Was Hacked?

First of all, how do you know your Facebook account was hacked if nothing obvious was changed…yet? If a hacker managed to get into your account, they will leave a trace. While their session is active, it will be listed under > Home (top right corner) > Account Settings > Security > Active Sessions (click edit). Here you can end the activity of suspicious sessions.

More information about How To Check If Someone Else Is Accessing Your Facebook Account or How To Find Out If Your Facebook Account Has Been Hacked can be found in the respective articles.
It is recommended that you enable Login Approvals for logging in from unrecognized devices. For increased security, you should also set app passwords.

1a. Change Your Password

In case your password was not changed you got lucky! This is the time to update your password! Be sure to end any suspicious active sessions first (see above), then go to > Home > Account Settings > General and click > Password to confirm your current password and then enter a new password.

When you’re done, review our articles regarding Facebook security (see resources below) and see what other measures you can take to secure your account.

From here, proceed to step 3 if you think that your account was abused.

1b. Reset Your Password

If your password was changed, act quick! Try to regain access. There is a > Forgot your password? link underneath the Facebook login.

It will let you retrieve your password in several different ways. You can either enter the email address you registered to Facebook with or any other secondary email address you added, as well as your phone number and username.

If you’re not sure whether the person that hacked your account was smart enough to change your profile information, you should go with the last option and enter your name and that of a friend. This will give you an idea of which information is currently added to your account.

If you don’t have access to any of the email accounts or to the phone number associated with your account, click the > No longer have access to these? URL. This will take you to a page where you can enter a new email address, which Facebook will then use to assist you in recovering your account.

This is not all. If you believe that your account was abused by the person who has access to it, proceed to step 2.

 2. Report Compromised Account

If your account wasn’t simply hacked, but is sending out ads and spam to your friends, you must report it as compromised.

From here, immediately proceed to step 2.

3. Do Damage Control

After doing everything you could to regain control over your hacked Facebook account, inform your friends about what is going on, just in case the hacker has abused or currently is abusing your account. If you presently can’t access your account, contact your Facebook friends through other social networks, by email, or have a mutual friend inform them via Facebook. Once you can log in again, proceed to step 3.

4. Remove Suspicious Applications

Oftentimes, it’s not an evil person that randomly hacked into your account. More likely than not you granted access to a malicious application which subsequently hijacked your account. To remove suspicious applications, go to > Home > Account Settings > Apps and go through the list. Click the > X next to any application you wish to remove or click > Edit to change what the app can do.

How To Unlock Your Computer After Forgetting Your Windows Login

reset windows login passwordMost passwords aren’t that difficult to reset, particularly those online. There is one that can give you trouble, however – your Windows login password. If you forget this you will be locked out of your account and unable to access all of the files and software specifically tied to that account.
Unlocking your computer won’t be easy, but it is possible. Let’s take a look at how you can access your system even if the login has been forgotten.

Resetting Your Windows Login Password – The Super Legit Way

reset windows login password
Windows has a built-in password reset feature. It would be rather pointless if anyone could reset it, so you have to do the preparation before you forget your login if you want to be able to use this feature. This consists of creating a password recovery disk, which can be any removable USB drive or even a floppy disk. Please note the instructions here apply to Windows Vista/7.
To begin, do a Windows Search for Password Reset Disk. You should see “Create a password reset disk” as your first option. Select it.
This will open the Forgotten Password Wizard. The introductory screen explains the basics, and once you’ve read it, click next. Here you can select the disk that you want to use for password recovery. Since only removable drives can be used, only they will appear as an option. Select a drive and click next.

windows login
On the next screen you will have to enter your current password. Do this and click next to begin creation of the password recovery disk. This will likely be a fast progress – it literally took five seconds on my PC. And you’re done.
Resetting your Windows login is now easy as pie. Just click the “reset password” link below the login screen and follow the on-screen steps. You’ll have to select the appropriate disk and then enter a new password. Presto! Your computer is unlocked.

Resetting Your Windows Password – The Not-So-Legit Way

windows login
Using the password reset disk is just fine if you have prepared beforehand, but if you are reading this article, I’d say there is a fair chance that you didn’t. I don’t blame you. Windows doesn’t remind users to create a reset disk.
If you are locked out of Windows without the legitimate recovery option you will have to turn to a third-party password cracking tool. The best free option is Ophcrack, a tool which uses something called a “rainbow table” to guess your password.
To use Ophcrack, you must download the .ISO and then burn it to a CD. This creates a live cd that you can boot from. Most computers are set to boot from any bootable CD by default, but you may need to change your BIOS options so that your optical drive is first in your boot order. There are separate versions for Windows XP and Windows Vista (the Vista version should work with Windows 7) so make sure you download the correct one.

Once you boot via the Ophcrack Live CD you need to select a mode. The default is “automatic” and that is what you should generally use. The software will run through several more steps, which include black screens with running lines of text, before entering into the Ophcrack menu and beginning the cracking process. Don’t be alarmed – things are working as intended. Once a password is cracked it appear in the right-hand column on the main window.
There are some severe limitations to what this tool can do. Ophcrack won’t work against strong passwords that use many random characters – particularly if you are trying to crack a Vista/7 password. The cracking process can take some time, as well, depending on the password you are trying to crack. Simple passwords tend to be quick – complex passwords take more time.
Another problem is lack of support. There aren’t many solutions if you run into a bug or error, and since the software runs by booting into a Linux environment, troubleshooting can be particularly tough if you don’t know much about Linux (like me). If you are running in to any problems with the tool, try Ophcrack’s FAQ wiki page.

Conclusion

These methods can work, but they’re not perfect. Recovering your Windows password via the legitimate method requires preparation. Ophcrack, on the other hand, is open source software with poor support that has difficulty with complex passwords.
If you used a complex password on a Windows Vista/7 machine you may be out of luck. This means you may need to reinstall Windows. Don’t forget to recover your files before you reinstall.
